Anthony Pascone, RPT
Anthony Pascone, a full-time practicing piano technician for nearly thirty years, moved from Ventura, California, to Durham in 1999 so his wife could be closer to her family. A native of Connecticut, Pascone began his studies of classical piano at the age of nine and has continued throughout his lifetime to develop a unique style of playing both classical and jazz repertoire. He began his studies of piano technology at UCLA and continued at the American Institute of Piano Technology under his mentor, Dennis Nicholson RPT. In 1981, Mr. Pascone passed his examinations and became a Registered Piano Technician (RPT) in the Piano Technicians Guild. In ensuing years, Pascone has attended factory-sponsored schools at Steinway & Sons, Yamaha’s Little Red Schoolhouse and Wurlitzer, as well as attending numerous local, regional and national classes and seminars offered by the Piano Technicians Guild.As a member of the Guild, Pascone has served in various offices as well as an instructor at the local, regional and national level. He currently serves on the Ethics Committee at the national level for the Guild. In addition to normal in-home service and institutional work for educational and church settings, Anthony’s work has focused on high-end action regulation and voicing for the performing artist, recording studio, and concert stage.
